Event Overview

Week of Welcome is a week-long event that combines academic, educational, developmental, and social programming to provide a solid foundation for new and returning students. The programming will focus on helping students meet basic needs on campus, make connections with fellow students, faculty, and staff, prepare for the academic year, establish their social identify, and transition into life on campus.

This year, Week of Welcome will be August 12 through 18. Specifics about the schedule of events will be updated in June and July.  Any questions about the WOW schedule can be sent to New Student Programs at

Week of Welcome is an event administered by New Student Programs. This program was designed to:


  • Develop relationships between students and the university, colleges and departments, peers, staff, and the community.
  • Lay the foundation for scholastic and civic engagement throughout college.
  • Promote positive attitudes and stimulating and environment for learning.
  • Provide healthy, active, and engaging events for students as they adjust to college life in Pullman.

If you would like to hold an event during the Week of Welcome and have it on the official schedule, please submit your event request here in this survey. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request!

For events to be included in printed WoW materials, the deadline to submit your event’s information is July 19. Events submitted after this date will only be featured on the digital calendar. Event information submission ends August 2nd.
