Event Overview

Week of Welcome is a week-long event that combines academic, educational, developmental, and social programming to provide a solid foundation for new and returning students. The programming will focus on helping students meet basic needs on campus, make connections with fellow students, faculty, and staff, prepare for the academic year, establish their social identity, and transition into life as a WSU student.

This year, Week of Welcome will be August 15 through 23. Specifics about the schedule of events will be updated in late summer 2020.  Any questions about the WOW schedule can be sent to New Student Programs at wsu.wow@wsu.edu.

Goals

  • Develop relationships between students and the university, colleges and departments, peers, staff, and the community.
  • Lay the foundation for scholastic and civic engagement throughout college.
  • Promote positive attitudes and stimulating and environment for learning.
  • Provide healthy, active, and engaging events for students as they adjust to college life in Pullman.
