What To Expect

Week of Welcome will be held the week before Fall semester classes begin.  Due to COVID-19, extra care is being taken while planning these events. As plans are finalized, they will be updated here.

Throughout the Week:

Academic Foundations

Each academic college will be hosting a Kickoff event, featuring workshops and activities designed to welcome new students to their colleges and majors!

Cougar Connections

The University Convocation ceremony on Friday morning is the official university welcome to new students! Everyone will be able to experience Convocation via live stream at convocation.wsu.edu.

Prep for Classes

Sessions will be offered to new students throughout the week to form connections, ask questions, and start the semester off on the best foot possible. Students living in the residence halls will be required to attend community meetings.

Fun, Safe Events

Zoom Events all week long: games, trivia, talent shows and open mic nights, and many more! More details to come soon!
